But those more affordable items, produced by Seiko, Citizen and Swatch, apart from their stylish look, also consist of practical applications, like the boiling of “the perfect egg”.
The true pleasure in having a chronograph doesn’t necessarily lie in its functions though. It’s rather about the whole ideology of doing all these exciting things that require very accurate timing. Think of all those sportsmen who used chronographs at first. Think of all those astronauts and pilots who need them on their daily rut. Even if you spend your whole day before the computer screen, you will love the perfect craftsmanship and sportive image of a chronograph. It’s uniqueness in the world of fast foods and cheap stuff from China. So, as you see, you don’t have to be either a sailor or a rally driver to appreciate the utility of a chronograph. You just need to have good taste.
