Films

Can you think of a better source for fashion hints than a good movie? If you’ve got any doubts just remind yourself of such films as “The Saturday Night Fever” or “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” that turned the whole fashion upside down and their heroes became style icons for many years. If you are looking for good examples of how to dress in college style, you’ll find lots of cool references in American films, some of which have become classics. “Lots of” might be too strong a word, but at least ten college movies are worth your glimpse.

You can easily download the list of films that present best what we call the “Fraternity style” from the website: Youngmoney. To be frank, not every film mentioned there is a blockbuster or a must-see, but there are at least two you definitely should watch to get some taste of what being a college boy really means. The first one, titled “Good Will Hunting” not only made stars of Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, but may be treated as a textbook or rather a filmbook of how to mix jacket with vest and shorts to impress every girl at the campus. The other one, a real film masterpiece, is as sensuous as its title: “Scent of a Woman” and its main characters are played by Al Pacino and Chris O’Donnell. The latter one does not create such a strong hero as Al Pacino does, but, on the contrary, looks attractively enough in the college clothes to have his presence in this film perfectly justified. This example proves that if you’ve got good appearance, you gain more chances in your life – starring in a Hollywood blockbuster included.
