Afterwards it spread to other Orient countries and became an elegant entertainment of the elites and military circles. To Poland it came in the interwar era of the twentieth century and gained some popularity among the cavalry. Nowadays it is played all over the world and is recognized as one of the most exclusive sports.
When you think of something with a long history, you think of something old-fashioned. Nothing more wrong in this case. Polo develops and, maintaining its stylishness, modernizes. Examples? Many fashionable winter resorts started to organize tournaments on the …snow. Just imagine – the finesse of the players, the strength of the horses and picturesque fountains of snow raised by a ball. The most prestigious polo tournament called The Cartier Polo World Cup takes place in St. Moritz, but you don’t have to bother going that far. You may as well have a lot of fun watching polo on the snow in our Zakopane. If you want to become a part of this world, just join one of the Polish polo schools that could be found on Polo Club site. Maybe it will take you some time to get to know how to play but it’s definitely worth it. Great physical form, new acquaintances, belonging to the elite – all this you take for granted.
