Last Sunday (07.12) Zacheta Gallery in Warsaw, opened new exhibition, quietly without official conferences and big announcements. Exhibition “Against the wall” was supposed to be spontaneous, in opposition to stiff etiquette, where artists took the role of artistic guerilla, adapting the walls of Zacheta. Such approach made them similar to urban artists, who would rather paint on walls than on canvas. In effect, artists used such techniques as graffiti, modern graphic art, comics or pop style. Ten artists from different countries were invited, including Maurycy Gomulicki - monumental sexy babes, Anna Myca – wallpaper composed of thousands of advertising stickers, Mark Murloney - comic themes. One wall remained blank, waiting for your intervention, you have time till the end of January.
